What Information Is Collected
My apps collect very limited information, and only when necessary:
- When an app crashes or encounters an error, the following data is collected:
- Information about the code that caused the error
- App version number
- Basic operating system information (OS name and version number, like "macOS 15.3.1")
The apps do NOT collect any personal information that could identify you, such as:
- Your name
- Email address
- Device ID
- IP address
- Location data
- Device language
- Memory information
- Device architecture
- Any other device or user-specific information
How This Information Is Used
I use crash and error data for one purpose only:
- To fix bugs and improve the apps
This information is not used for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
Data Storage and Security
- All data is securely transmitted to Sentry.io, which processes the data on my behalf
- Data is stored on Sentry's servers for 14 days only, then permanently deleted
- I've configured the apps to filter out personal information before sending any data to Sentry
Third-Party Services
These apps use Sentry.io to process crash reports. While Sentry has its own privacy policy, I've specifically configured my integration to minimize data collection.
Some parts of their privacy policy regarding user data sharing don't apply to my implementation because identifying information is removed before data is sent to their servers.
User Choices
Currently, there is no option to opt out of crash reporting in the apps. The limited data collection happens automatically when errors occur.
Children's Privacy
My apps are appropriate for all ages (rated 4+), but they're not specifically designed for children. The apps don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your Privacy Rights
Because the apps collect only anonymous technical information that cannot be linked to individual users, it's not possible to identify specific users in the system. This means:
- I cannot provide copies of your personal data (none is collected)
- I cannot delete specific user data upon request (I cannot identify which data belongs to which user)
Compliance With Regulations
The privacy practices of these apps comply with major privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA because:
- Only anonymous technical data is collected
- Data is stored for a very limited time (14 days)
- Data is used only for fixing bugs
- Data is not shared with third parties
